Cold Process Soap - Charcoal, Clay and Coconut Soap

Strictly speaking, this soap is Hot Processed, but the only difference between it and the cold processed is the addition of heat to move the processing along.  Like cold process soaps, this technique involves combining oils and butters with a lye solution, which triggers a natural chemical reaction called saponification. During this process, the oils transform into soap and naturally produce glycerine, a skin-loving humectant.

In commercial soap, the glycerine is stripped out and sold as a separate product.  This is why commercial bar soaps are so drying on the skin.  This is not the case with CPS or Hot Process.  

This soap is one of our few coconut oil only soaps.  Coconut is a hard and slightly harsh oil in soap but when cooked with a really high super fat rate, becomes a very gentle but highly cleansing soap.  Super fat means that some of the oils go through saponification, changing from oil, but retain the oil like qualities rather than converting entirely to soap.

Suitable for cleaning tough oil and grease including makeup brushes and other hard to shift dirt.

These are vegan, palm free, cruelty free and eco-friendly.

Ingredients: Coconut Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Water, Charcoal and Clay.
